Webcore Africa ("we", "us", "our") is a web design and development business registered with the CIPC in South Africa (Registration No. 2026/736609/07) and based in Cape Town. We respect your privacy and aim to handle your personal information lawfully and openly.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We intend to process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and other applicable South African law.

We only collect information you choose to give us, mainly when you submit the enquiry form on this website (for example to request a quote or discuss a project). The form collects:

• Name (required)
• Business name (optional)
• Email address (required)
• Phone / WhatsApp number (required)
• The service you are interested in (required)
• Your message, including any project details, requirements or budget you choose to share (optional)

We also record the date and time of your enquiry. If you contact us directly by email, WhatsApp or social media, we receive the information you include in that message, such as your name, number or email address.

When you use the enquiry form, a security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details to confirm you are a real person. We do not offer a newsletter and do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking on this website.

We use your information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
• Prepare quotations or arrange a consultation you asked for
• Understand your business and project requirements
• Provide, and communicate with you about, services you engage us for
• Send you an automatic email confirming we received your enquiry
• Keep reasonable business records
• Improve our website and services
• Prevent spam, abuse, fraud and malicious submissions
• Comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information and we do not send you marketing without your permission.

Under POPIA, we process your personal information where it is necessary and appropriate, including where:

• You have given consent, for example by submitting the enquiry form
• It is needed to take steps you requested before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract with you
• It protects our legitimate interests, such as keeping the website secure and preventing spam, provided this does not unfairly affect your rights
• It is required to comply with the law

We only collect information that is adequate, relevant and not excessive for these purposes.

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The security check on the enquiry form (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use strictly necessary technologies to tell humans and bots apart. If you sign in to our private administration area, essential storage is used to keep you signed in. If we introduce analytics in future, we will update this policy first.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website:

• Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase) — hosts the website and securely stores enquiries in our database.
• Lovable email service — sends the enquiry notification to us and the confirmation email to you from our verified domain.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — the anti-spam security check on the enquiry form.
• WhatsApp, LinkedIn, GitHub and Instagram — if you follow a link to these platforms, their own privacy policies apply.

Some of these providers may store or process information on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate data protection safeguards, as required by POPIA.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls so only authorised Webcore Africa staff can view enquiries, server-side validation of form submissions, and anti-spam protection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a security compromise occurs, including notifying you and the Information Regulator where required.

We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example while we are discussing or delivering a project, and for a reasonable period afterwards to keep business records or meet legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it:

• With the service providers listed above, to operate this website and our communications
• Where required by law, court order or a lawful request from an authority
• To protect our rights, our clients or the public from fraud or harm
• With your consent

Subject to POPIA, you have the right to:

• Ask whether we hold your personal information and request access to it
• Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
• Object to certain processing of your information
• Withdraw consent you have given, without affecting earlier lawful processing
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za

Our services are aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if our website or services change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
